Q: What got left on the cutting room floor?Ī: We're still working on the game so everything is presently on the cutting room table. We can't reveal anything you don't already know. We're just here to talk about the game in a very general sense. Q: Can you tell us about the new characters?Ī: We're not talking about characters today. Q: Will the switch controller’s infrared camera function be used for the home version of Sports Story?Ī: We might check your heartrate after a close match play if we can figure out how to use it. But you can also take your Switch out with you. Q: Isn’t it true that Sports Story was originally planned for a home release only?Ī: Yes, it's true. Q: Which Sidebar team is doing this game – the same people that did Golf Story or a new team?Ī: This game is important to us so we've got our main team working on it. It seemed a lot easier before we started doing it. Q: Wouldn't it have been easier to just make “Tennis Story” instead?Ī: Yes, but it's far too late for that now. If we put it on a cartridge, we'll just put the whole thing on there. Q: Did you have to reduce sound quality due to cartidge space, and will you remove 25% of the game and offer it as a download to use a smaller cartridge?Ī: Sports Story will be available for download from Nintendo eShop. It wouldn't do us any good to reveal other games so far ahead.Ī: We like to think of it as a separate game that features the same characters and takes place shortly after the events of Golf Story. What new projects does Sidebar Games have down the pipeline?Ī: We can reveal we're currently working on a game called Sports Story. Q: Sidebar is getting a reputation for superb sports RPG games.
